When you look at someone, it's easy to just walk on by without thinking of the journeys they've been on, the roads they've taken, the choices they've made. When I take a person's photo, I look at their eyes, which is why you'll often find many of my images are up close.I find people fascinating. Many of my subjects don't smile in these pictures. It doesn't mean they're unhappy, it just means we often don't know what's going on inside.
